It’s imperative for us Africans (Majority of African Countries), to be more specific Cameroonians, to transform our resources locally. How can we be rich and poor at the same time? How can we cohabit with this much poverty when we have riches around us;us? The answer is found in our ability we Africans/ Cameroonians to transform our locally sourced materials into wealth. The iron ore Magnetite holds significantly less value compared to pure iron itself,; Bauxite is valueless compared to Aluminum, Scrap; scrap aluminum doesn’t hold much value compared to an end product like a Householdhousehold cooking pot or a car component which, depending on the part, is far more valuable than the cost of the quantity of scrap aluminum used for it. As Barrister Fadimatou Diara wisely said: “ Let’s put our Africa under construction”. Cameroon is growing towards being an industrialized and a major mining country in years to come, and for this to happen our discovered and evaluated resources need to be exploited and processed on ground, but muchnot enough attention has not been paid onto certain critical minerals necessary for the foundry industry,; for example, graphite, which is important for the fabrication of furnaces, is very underexplored and has only been discovered at 3 locations, and thorough investigations have not been made and many more . Clays (Kaolinite, gibbsite, diaspore, boehmite, etc.) are being exploited, processed and used already… So the aim of this project is to discover, using remote sensing techniques, areas where these different critical minerals prospect areas,can be found; secondly pick, one or 2two of those prospects: confirm, quantity then lastly use them need to be picked; lastly, those minerals need to be used, adding some other minerals to build a highly efficient furnace capable of reaching at least 1500 *C1500°C.
