I am writing to see if you work with inmates on sentence modifications. There is a new house bill that I qualify for. House Bill 61 says that an adult convicted of a juvenile offense can serve 1 day for each day served. I was 17 years old when I was convicted of my first crime. I was sentenced to 15 years suspended. At 19, I was convicted of burglary and attempted when I stole a car and attempted to steal TVs. At 19, for which I was sentenced to 21 years for that, plus 5 of the 15 years Thatthat they gave me for my juvenile crime. All; all together, 26 years. I served the 21 years for my adult crime and I’m now serving the time for my juvenile offense. I know the bill is retro active, but it doesn’t show me as a juvenile when I committed of this offense. I’d like to know if I can get any help or guidance with that or if you feel I can get a sentence modification based on the excessive time I was given at 19.19? If you do not work in this area or can not giveoffer guidance, maybe you can direct me to someone who can.
