I am Mahboubeh Soleimani Sasani Ph.D. candidate of Microbiology, Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran, Iran, where I am completedcompleting my thesis-PhD’s program under supervision of Dr. Eftekhar in department microbiology department and microbial biotechnology since February 2017. I am workedworking on “Isolation of a lytic bacteriophage effective against Multidrug-resistant (MDR) Klebsiella pneumoniae and the potential of phage therapy against lung infection in a mouse model”model.”
I have experienced phage isolation and characterization as well as the therapeutic effects of phage in the animal models as well asand the development of pulmonary infection in animals. In the phage therapy subject, published paper is (Isolation and characterization of a Klebsiella pneumoniae specific lytic bacteriophage from a hospital waste-water treatment plant), and another submitted for publication (Potential of a bacteriophage isolated from wastewater in treatment of lobar pneumonia infection induced by Klebsiella pneumoniae in mice).
I am also interested and have experience in metalloids bioremediation, as it was my M.Sc. objective.
As one of my important programs in the field of phage therapy, I am planning to be a researcher in an international research group. I am very keen on continuecontinuing research in the field of “host immune response” at your International Center to reach a higher goal of humanitarian.
