Syrian conflict and the presidential elections in 2021
Russia and the Assad Regime last few months they are massively attacking the city of Idlib and the question is why they are doing such thing?
Well in my opinion, I think the main reason for thatit is that the next presidential elections will happen in 2021 and they want to destroy all the positions of the Syrian opposition in order to have a strong position during the elections.
Another thing that they will do in my opinion is that they allow the Syrian opposition to enter the elections in order to show Assad as a democratic president and in. In order to say to the Western countries, look“Look, Assad isn’t a dictator and he is a democratic president, but thepresident!” The biggest question here is how they will solve the problem of millions of Syrians that won’t elect anybody in this electionselection because they are outside of Syria or because they don’t have any documents?
