This postgraduate has helped me gain an in-depth understanding of a range of construction modules, as well as the ability to adapt construction theory to the practical problems faced by modern engineers.
Modules include:
• Civil Engineering Science – integrates the topics of structural analytical analysis, numerical analysis and engineering problems;
• ;
• Structural Engineering Design Project – has provided an opportunity for simulating the design activities of a structural engineering consultancy;
• Independent project (Thesis) – an investigation of the effects of imperfection in structural glass on the behaviour of the footbridge decks using
the Finite Element Method alongside 2D modelling of two different models of laminated glass composite plates using LUSAS.

Degree in Civil Engineering. Specialization in Hydro Constructions. Final Project involved a design of a Water and Sewage system in a Romanian village.
Modules include:
• Reinforced Concrete Constructions – this unit provided an understanding of how concrete and steel function/work together in structural engineering;
• Material Resistance – this unit integrates notions of how structural elements behave under certain stresses;
• Civil Construction Design – this unit introduces design concepts for multi-storey civil buildings using both Romanian and European codes;
• Hydro Construction Design – this unit introduces design concepts for dams, water supply and sewage systems.

• Designing reinforced concrete structures for two residential projects using AutoCAD. The projects required a detailed calculation of structural elements according to Romanian civil engineering codes which are similar to Eurocodes;
• Analysing Architectural and Engineering projects to estimate material quantity requirements;
• Understanding the client’s requirements and providing a proper solution suited to their needs.
