It was a sunny, but sad, day at my house. theThe birds chirped outside, but you could feel the darkness and sorrow in my home. My grandma had been sick for a while butand I hadn’thad never seen her as bad as she was that day. My grandma lived in Peru but our family, especially my mom, called her every morning to see how she was. I remember my grandma trying, but barely being able to talk. We all knew that she was suffering and every day would be more pain for her. The day before, our family was surprised to discover that she had stood up and was laughing. Everybody thought she was getting better, and any moment she would be back to her cheerful self. My mom was smiling happily seeing that herselfher mother was slowly acting like herself.
