Ms. Jodi, good afternoon and as. As I explained last night, I was waiting on a definite answer on the $1100, and the rest in 2 weeks. That is why I didn't go to the bank because no one would give me a straight answer. I see that you shut the water off, but in our lease, it says that if the water is in your name it must be paid in full. We have been paying the bill and you agreed to keep it in your name. And, you have not given us the amount for the bill for August. You told us from the beginning that you just wanted us to communicate with you and then when we do. We, we get threatened with water getting shutoff and evictions. Since we do have the 7 day notice, you can't legally come in and change the locks. I decided to do research and it says "landlords cannot evict a tenant without a court order. Any efforts to hasten the process by changing the locks or shutting off utilities are illegal." I remember Beth telling me that all we had to do was communicate and that she really believed that it was going to be ok, however. However, we made the mistake of rushing things, so it is our fault. Like I told you, I was prepared to be at Dort Federal Credit Union, but you or Jason never verified that we could do the 1100 until after the banks were closed.
