Working in an Accounting Practice Organisation is challenging during the month-end. I come across the following tasktasks during the Month endmonth-end:
1. Accounts preparation and accounts submission for about 10 clients
2. Submission for VAT Return for about 20 Clients
3. Submission of PAYE to HMRC and process Payrollprocessing payroll for about 400 Employeesemployees of our clients.
4. Prepare and Submitsubmit Management Accounting Report for some clients to the relevant organisation.
5. Managing Officeoffice and Clientclient queries.
Even though all the jobs are extremely important, I prioritise the tasktasks based on their importance. I plan my work every day based on the work load and routine monthly work. It does not work during the month endmonth-end. Every minute, a new task is being added to the planned activities. I eliminate/ avoid all the work that areis not part of the deadline and create a plan for them to accomplish them during the less busy period. Break the complex tasks into small and simple tasks. Some tasks are delegated to the subordinates. TaskTasks are distributed to the colleagues based on their expertise on that particular taskstask. ThatThis not only speeds up the process, but also it reduces the errorerrors. Some tasks are transferred to the client. In the end, the worksjobs are accomplished before the deadline.
