The formative evaluationFormative Evaluation
The formative evaluation has a pedagogical aim,; it is integrated into the teaching; it. It helps participants to situate on their level of learning objectives achievement. It also enables the trainer to correct participants and meliorate their learning.
It gives learners benchmarks to progress. It facilitates self-evaluation if pedagogical objectives and evaluation criteria are clearly defined and presented.
It is used throughout the training and requires interactivity with participants. It is done in real time and involves a correction of the gesture, technique or attitude of the learner.
It is permanent and progressive; it must make the participant evolve by informing him/her about his/her of learning objectives achievement.
Under no circumstances, it should be used as a sanction.
