I would like to introduce myself as a graduate from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management and Toxicology. This is to provide the admission committee with basic information about my education, academic interests and plans, since I am applying for a Master's program in Geoinformatics for Urbanized Society for the Fall Semester of the 2019/2020 academic session at your prestigious university.
All through my years of formal education in Nigeria, the language of instruction was in English. In the same vein, I went to a University for my Bachelor’s degree in the aforementioned discipline that laid a foundation for my knowledge on how to view the field of earth sciences using a multidisciplinary approach. Due to my passion for solving spatial problems, I proceeded to do a Master’s program in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) at the University of Ibadan (UI), where I had the opportunity to use GIS and Remote Sensing Technology as a tool that encompasses all spheres of disciplines, both in problem solving and decision-making.
