Abstract : The dimensioning of the elements of a structure is often conducted according to professionally defined calculation codes and contains a large number of directives in the form of laws, theselaw. These calculation codes are generally revised periodically to give improvement inimprove materials and behavior, it. It is in this context that the EUROCODE 3 regulation introduced new concepts in relation to the CM66 regulation, namely: the notion of cross-sectional classification, the steel constitutive law, the bases of calculation and the verifications vis-vis-à-vis the security of the works.
As part of this work, a comparative study of calculation code CM66 and EUROCODE 3 was made, andusing an example of application wason an administrative building with a metal frame.
