MetCo Manufacturing highly values its employee satisfaction, because it believes that employees play an important role in the company’s success. As a result, MetCo has implemented a program called Suggestion for Organizational Satisfaction (SOS) to encourage employees to submit suggestions and complaints to help it successfully run the company. As the SOS has been operating for one year, MetCo’s CEO wants us, who designed and implemented the program, to evaluate it. To evaluate the effectiveness of the SOS program, we start finding how extensively the program is being used and whether it is used more for suggestions or complaints. It is also important to know what types of employees are using and not using it, and whether the employees are satisfied with the program.
