I had to adhere to protocol fully in a situation at vVerona bBeach. It was an accident between two vehicles. When we arrived at the scene, I saw three males. We had reports about a robbery situation. Since we arrived at the scene, we had to follow all protocols and procedures. We detained both drivers under reasonable suspicion who were involved into the situation. The third male was a witness with a camera. We took all statements, reviewed the camera footage, reviewed different tire marks on the street, and tried to understand the situation and what happened. It was very important to follow the protocol because it was needed to get a proper decision and make the scene safe for all involved officers who arrived and investigated. After all facts, the situation was completely reversed. We fiound out that the previous "victim" was a hit and run suspect who tried to run away from the other driver, whicho caught him and tried to find his ID and get the police. It was not a robbery, it was a sGood Samaritan who tried to bring justice into the situation. The protocol helped us to get the truth at the end and arrest the correct suspect.
