In the past, there were some of WSNs (Wireless Sensor Networks) monitoring applications wide worldwide and most of them presented a good result in flood predictions and early warnings. In Malaysia, flood management is a priority for governments (such as Pahang government) to save lives and assets for people due to losses associated with the flood disasters.
For these reasons in this paper, we offer
a flood -monitoring system based on WSSN (Wireless Smart Sensor Network) to get better results for real -time monitoring, reliability and quality, because WSSN is characterized by pre-processing in sensors and the optimization of transmission protocol before sending the data.
Designing
, simulation and testing are done by using the Network Simulator (NS).
