The main purpose for mutation induction in rice crops, is to increase the mutation frequency rate in ‎a short period of time, iand developing new plant varieties with useful agronomical traits in order ‎for sustainable food production to become a possibility. Exploitation of a spontaneous mutation ‎frequency rate is both rare and exceptional, being difficult to exploit by the plant breeders. ‎
